...The Difference We Make....

There is so much racial issues going on in the world right now-I'm sure that I don't have to explain to ya'll about it, it's all over the news!

Anyone who really knows me knows that I am deeply passionate about everyone seeing that we are ALL ONE in Jesus.

God didn't make one person lower then he made someone else. He said plainly in Genesis,

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:26-27, KJV)
It says that He made everyone after His image, all of mankind. So what does that mean? It means that no matter where a person comes from, that no matter what they look like, we were ALL created in His image!
So why do we have to fight all the time? Why do we have to degrade one another simply because someone came from a different country, or because they're skin is a different color?
WE DON'T HAVE TO!!
Jesus wants us to live in peace, in unity with one another!

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" (Psalms 133:1, KJV)

"And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves."
(1 Thessalonians 5:13, KJV)

"Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, of one accord, of one mind."
(Philippians 2:2, KJV)

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you; but ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
(1 Corinthians 1:10, KJV)

"Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."
(2 Corinthians 13:11, KJV)

"Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
(Ephesians 4:3, KJV)

"Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;"
(Philippians 1:27, KJV)

"Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:"
(Romans 15:5, KJV)

"For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."
(Romans 12:4-5, KJV)

Do we understand what these verses are saying? We are supposed be at peace with one another, living in unity!
And we as Christians should be a light to the ones who ain't, show others that we can live together in unity, peace and love!
And you want to know something about all this prejudice stuff?

The only difference there really is, is the difference we've made.

Jesus didn't see a difference between us when He died on the cross for us all, and when He said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16, KJV)

Sure, people have different colors of skin, but how does that make us more or less then someone else?
And sure, everyone from a different country has different customs and traditions then others, but that's what makes this world beautiful! Because we all can learn from each other, teach each other. Wouldn't the world be a pretty dull place if everyone was exactly the same, if we all did everything exactly like everyone else?
There would be nothing knew to learn!
Let's embrace the different ways each nation has and enjoy the fact that we are not all identical!
And I know that not every custom or tradition is right, and there are things in all of us that need to change and we all need to come to Christ and be living epistles!

But why do we have to fight, kill and hate? What's the point?

(Verse 1:)
There is so much hate, there is so much anger,
There is so much hurt, there is so much bitter,
God made us all one,
The only difference there is, is the difference that we've made,
(Chorus:)
Why can't we just pray, why can't we just give?
Why can't we just lift our hands to heaven, standing side by side?
Why can't we just love, why can't we just forgive?
Why can't we just come together in Christ?
Like we're supposed to be...
(Verse 2:)
We need to fall on our knees, and cry out to God,
To change all the wrong, that's in our hearts,
God made us all one,
And the only difference there is, is the difference that we've made,
Tag:
Lord Jesus, we cry out to You, Forgive our hearts,
And show us You are, the Creator of us all!
(Song given to me by God)

God Bless you all!
Is.53:5, Phil.4:13, Is.55:8-13 (KJV)

  1. Amen! This really strikes a chord with me because my Mom is black. There really is no difference other than the ones we've made.

Yes! We all need to read this! No one is different, we are all one race, God created one race and we must live together in peace! Thanks for the wonderful post!

A great song about this is "Bleed the Same" by Mandisa. :D
