New Life Resolution...

2017. A new year. I know a lot of people are making their bucket list for 2017, or New Year Resolutions. They're determined to complete the list, do everything they have written down by December 31.
It says in the Bible to "Put off the old man". When we except Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are no longer the old man that we once were. We are new creations in Christ Jesus.
Now, please don't get me wrong, I'm not wanting or meaning to put anyone down. But when we except Jesus, shouldn't we resolve to live like He would like us to live? Shouldn't we make it a life long thing, not just a year?
I know that you have things on your bucket list that are just fun things you would like to accomplish and I'm not saying that it's wrong.
But why just one year? I'm sure most of you have things on that list like "Draw closer to God", or "Become a better person". Why just this year? Shouldn't we have been doing that when we excepted Christ? Isn't stuff like that supposed to be a life long resolve?
If we care enough to strive to ex off everything on that list, then I think we should strive to put God first. Read an extra five chapters in God's Word every time you put an ex on that list. Pray thirty minutes more.
I challenge us all to long to serve God and want to be like Him more then we care about accomplishing all those list. We should have a New Life Resolution-To honor God and serve Him with our whole heart and lives.

I apologize if I have offended anyone, I didn't mean to do that. I just feel like I should write this. And I speak to myself, as well.

Thank You for reading!

God Bless!!

Different Kind Of Questions...

Sooo...I had an idea for some questions-and I'm sorry if it's not a very good one! Lol
Okay, so you can go to the About Me page and the Movies, Books, Music and TV Shows page and ask me questions from off of there! Like why I do certain things I say I do, or why I like a certain move or author!
Or go the My YouTube Videos page, watch a video, and ask about it! Like how we did a certain part or anything you think of to ask!

I LOVE lots of questions, silly questions, serious questions or deep questions! It don't matter I love to be asked questions!

And if you just have any questions without going to the pages, then feel free to ask!!

Praise The Name Of Jesus!

So, I'd thought I'd share with ya'll a song that God has given me. Most of you probably know that I feel like God wants me to sing (and act), so I wanted to let ya'll read this song!

Praise The Name Of Jesus
Verse 1:
They say you gotta sing, sing on stage, they say you gotta sing a certain way,
They say you gotta talk, talk on stage, they say you gotta talk a certain way,
I just don't get it, just don't understand,
When all I want to do is,

Pre-Chorus:
Praise Your Name, Glorify Your Name,

Chorus:
And Praise Your Name, lift Your Name on High,
And sing Hallajiah, Hallajiah,
Bless the Lord, oh, my soul,
And Praise Your Name, Praise the Name of Jesus,

Verse 2:
They say you gotta act, act on stage, they say you gotta act a certain way,
They say you gotta dress, dress on stage, they say you gotta dress a certain way,
I just don't get it, just don't understand,
When all I want to do is,

Pre-Chorus:
Praise Your Name, Glorify Your Name,

Chorus:
And Praise Your Name, lift Your Name on High,
And sing Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Bless the Lord, oh, my soul,
And Praise Your Name, Praise the Name of Jesus,

Tag:

'Cause You said 'Come, just as you are',
You said 'Come, just as you are',
So I'll come, just as I am, so I'll come, just as I am!

Repeat Pre-Chorus
Repeat Chorus twice

Passage From My Book...

Soo...I haven't been letting anyone read from the book that God is helping me write(and help from my Daddy! ;). But I wanted to share with ya'll a small bit that would be interesting...but wouldn't give anything away. I thought this passage might work.
It's not fully edited, so I'm sorry about any mistakes you will probably find. Lol
So, I hope that you enjoy, and I will be getting this book published when I'm through unless I hear otherwise from God.

Let me know what you think in the comments below! And any writers out there, please let me know how I can improve in writing! Thank You! I appreciate your advice!

Hopefully I will see you all at the blog party the 19th at 5:30 central time!

Love Ya'll!

Here goes...

"Dad, stop!"
Lorraine always begged for the beatings to stop, even though it never did any good. She tried to catch herself from falling as Jake shoved her back, but to no avail as she fell to the ground, her back banging against the lamp, causing it to crash to the floor.
She scooting backwards, trying to get out of Jake's reach, her breaths shaky from fright. Feeling her back press against the wall, she could feel the coldness of the it seep into her...feeling just as cold as her dad had treated her her whole life.
Lorraine leaned up, not wanting to be lowering below Jake to he could glare down at her, like she knew he so loved doing. He marched toward her, yelling out every word that she had heard him use her entire miserable years of being alive.
What did I do to deserve this? She brought up her arm to shield her face against the next blow as Jake drew near, his face red from the strain of working-the only work he ever did was toward her and Doris when he was drunk and sober. He cursed her, cursed the day she was born and cursed her mom for giving birth to such a good for nothing child. She didn't bother crying out for Doris to save her, as she never did. Always leaving her to take the brute of her dad on her own.
Jake grabbed her arm and yanked her up, the yelling growing louder and louder in her ear. This time she didn't have a chance to beg for him to stop. He grabbed the nearest thing he could get his hands on and the next moment she was crumbling to the floor, the side of her head throbbing.
Her eyes were closed, hearing him walk away, as memories flashed across her mind. She could feel the hurt as the other students laughed at her for all the bruises and scars on her face and arms. The embarrassment of no boy wanting to take her out, and the few that did never speaking to her again. Remembering never having Doris come and comfort her as a mom should after Jake was through with her. As she lay there in her room at night, feeling rejected and alone, her mom never came to comfort her, to tell her that she was sorry and that it would all be okay.
The memories of the worst moments of her unhappy life came  and then left the next moment, leaving her all alone as everyone had always left her in life. She felt the warmth of something running down her cheeks from her head, knowing that she was bleeding.
"Oh, God!" She cried as she lay there, her battered body shivering from the cold and loneliness. The tears ran down her eyes and join the blood in flowing down her cheeks...

Lorraine jerked her eyes opened, having to blink a few times to clear her vision of the tears. The tears? She leaned up on the couch as she wiped at her face as she looked around the small apartment, realizing that she had fallen asleep while watching the TV.
Picking up her phone from beside of her, she walked out the door, not bothering to turn off the television when she left. She walked out the building and sat down on the stairs, hoping to leave her memories from only a few moments before behind.
It never worked before...no matter how many times and how hard  I've tried.
Her phone announced a call, and she looked over, seeing that it was from Jessica. She sighed as she answered, hoping that she was in a better mood then she was the last time she had talked with her.
"Hey."
"What are you doing?"
"Sitting outside the apartment. You?"
"Heading to the mall." There was a pause before she went on. "Well?"
"'Well' what?"
She sighed, sounding agitated. "You know what I mean. Did you talk to William about this thing?"
Lorraine sighed herself as she stretched her leg out in front of her, hoping that she wouldn't have brought it up. But she should have known that she would have.
"Yes."
Jessica grunted, almost growled, through clenched teeth before the spoke. "I told you-What did he say?"
She didn't want to answer her, but she knew that tell her sooner or later. "Religion. God stuff."
"You'll regret this," Was all she said before she cut off the call.
Lorraine sighed as she laid the phone beside of her, pushing some loose strands of hair behind her ear, her eyes catching a glimpse of the tattoo on her arm.
She looked down at it as though she was seeing it for the first time. The more she stared at it, the bigger it got. The longer the arrow became, the larger the heart got.
"I don't think William has a tattoo," She said to herself as she gazed on it, her eyes not moving for a few seconds.
She finally pulled her eyes away and slowly picked up her phone again as she suddenly felt the need to talk with someone. And she wanted to talk to a certain someone. Someone who would listen to her, and, she knew, would listen as long as she wanted.

God Bless!!

The Name...

My Daddy, the pastor of From Fathers Heart To Yours Church, wrote this article for the newspaper here, and read it to us for Bible Time the other night. I loved it and He let me post it here on my blog!
To visit From Fathers Heart To Yours, go to:
www.fromfathershearttoyours.org
And to listen to the weekly preaching, click on Online Media at the top!
So, read and enjoy!

Having eaten to much, stuffing ourselves way beyond measure, let us now turn our attention toward birth.
I trust that we all have had and still maintain a grateful heart for all the blessings of God. We enjoy so much and most of us give thanks so little.
As we now journey toward Bethlehem let us remind ourselves of the reason for the journey. Often we can get sidetracked with taxing and such like that we loose sight of why we are where we are at the time we are there.
The purpose was to birth Messiah in agreement with the promises God had made since the garden of Eden. It's noteworthy for us to understand that often times an inconvenience in our lives can actually be God fulfilling a promise. He just needs to get us in the right place at the right time for that promise to happen. Even taxing, a census and a booked up hotel can be involved in the fulfillment of God's word.
As you recall God has always associated His work and promises with His name. It is no coincidence that He used names to tell us about the coming Savior of mankind. Emmanuel, meaning God with us. Call His name Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matt.1:21-23)
All through time people have used names to denote and/or describe the person to whom it is given. This basically holds true in most civilizations and cultures of the world. But none so fitting and powerful as that of the Bible where we can see God's plan of salvation unfolding in the lives of people. As we match the names with the possessor we see them becoming what their name says. We should understand this when selecting names for our children today. Just think, every time Mary and Joseph spoke the name Jesus to Him they were telling Him who and what He was and is to become. We can do the same with ours also.
So we find God announcing the coming of Jesus. He moves all the pieces of a worldwide puzzle in place, like a master chess player then births the Savior. All along the way instilling in all the characters involved the importance of His name.
His name! The name of Jesus! As John wrote; "But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believed on His name." (Jn.1:12) Oh, the power of His name! Jesus!
His name was chosen and given because it says what and who He is. Savior-Healer-Provider-Presence of God-Peace-Protector-and the name that is to be proclaimed to the world. He said; if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me. (Jn.12:32)
He instructed us to pray in His name and our prayers will be heard and granted. (Jn.14:14) Paul said that Jesus is the name above every name that is named. Every knee must bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. (Eph.1:20-23)(Ph.2:9-11) All our enemies have to acknowledge and submit to the name of Jesus!
So now as we travel on toward Bethlehem, why are we going. To find a deal on gifts, to hear angels sing, to hear shepherds talk, or maybe we can get a glimpse of the wise men coming or going. No doubt there is a lot to see and hear. Be careful that they don't stand between you and the greatest gift of all! Jesus!
He is and has always been the reason and the only reason for such a journey and much celebration.
The birth of the person who is the name, who lives on in eternity invites us all to come and see! THE NAME!

I enjoyed hearing this and reading it again, and I hope that all of you did, as well!
Don't forget to go and visit the website above! You will be blessed!

This Jesus Saved cowgirl loves you all!

God Bless!!

Update on...

So, just wanted to post to let ya'll know that I changed the Books/Movies and TV Shows page up a little bit. I took down all the pictures because of some warning thing that came up-didn't really understand it, but I took it down so there wouldn't be any trouble! lol

Also, I'm soo looking forward to having this cast off my leg day after tomorrow! I'm getting kinda tired of having to hop around the house with these crutches. Mama said they might have to put a walking cast on after they take this one off-and I'm not looking forward to that, either!
Note-Never fracture your ankle! Having a cast is miserable!
Here are some pic's:

The Legend...

A legend. That's what he was. There were very few who believed in his true existence years before, but most everyone thought that it was a man believing in a boys greatest wish-a wish that never came to pass.
Time after time has the story been told. Night after night has young ears gathered around to here of the adventure's of the hero. And still, after growing up with such, they still doubted. Even when they could see the belief in the one who raised them, they went day by day trying to make the young ones believe that what they were starting to believe themselves, was not real.
The teller knew that he had the proof...only where, he did not know. Which only made the others to doubt even more. He told them that one day, he would bring forth the evidence that the legend once lived...and lived mightily.
Oh, he what a wonderful sight he once was. Standing strong, his spotted color shimmering in the sunlight. He was loyal. The most loyal of them all. He challenged the ones that he thought brought trouble to his loved ones. He waited for them when required, eager to see them exit the dwelling so he could walk along side his family, ready to run to their rescue if the need arose.
Years past, and still the story was told to the new ones. They believed as they waited for the proof that what they had always believed in...was real.
And they waited...
Then the night came. As they all gathered anxiously around, holding their breaths for the final unveiling. The teller pulled things out, and one by one showed them pieces of his life, little pieces that brought tears to his eyes.
Then he brought something forth, and there is was. The legend as real as day. His broadness shone like the sun as he hunkered near the young one that he loved, and that loved him the most. You could see the pride on both their faces...pride at being able to call something so wonderful, his. And pride from the legend at being able to be had by someone great.
If you could look into the teller's eyes, you would see pride, loyalty, and most importantly from all the others, love. The one that kept the legend alive could finally look around into the faces and see belief, something that he had longed to see.
And if he was telling the story, he would be sure to say,
"Ole' Sam loved to hunt."

This is a true story, ya'll. I grew up listening to story's about Daddy and his dog when he was young, Ole' Sam. The three oldest children didn't really believe that Ole' Sam was real. They thought that Daddy made him up or was greatly exaggerating. Daddy always said that he had a picture of him and Ole' Sam, but he didn't know what he had done with it.
Then the other night, we saw the picture of him and Ole' Sam, the picture that Daddy had always had. It was wonderful to see Ole' Sam. I love that dog, even though I have never met him. And Daddy loves him.
Ole' Sam was the greatest dog that ever lived. He was a 'pure breed blue tick coon hound', the first that Papa (Daddy's Daddy) had ever had. He paid forty dollars for him, and later someone offered Papa four-hundred dollar's for Ole' Sam...which Papa wouldn't take. Papa loved dog's and loved Ole' Sam. Ole' Sam was Papa's, but hung around Daddy most of the time. Ole' Sam loved his family, all of Daddy's sister and brother, Papa and Mamie (Daddy's Mama). He was a championship coon hound. He loved hunting with Daddy and Papa.
His color was unique. He was white with blue spots all over him. He was big, broad and wonderful. His bark was different from all the others...a good different. He would wait outside the Church for them to come out when they were in, and walked everywhere with them. He would protect them and guard them.
And once when they thought that they had lost him, it tore Papa all up...that's how much they loved him. But he found his way home.
I remember one time Daddy said that they were coon hunting with other dogs and Ole' Sam (Ole' Sam was usually the leader). Somehow the coon got out of the tree and the other dogs attacked it, but it fought them off. When they backed off, Ole' Sam charged into in, attacking and killed it!
I think that's amazing...all these dogs couldn't get one coon, but let Ole' Sam near, and he overcomes it.
There are so many more stories that I could tell you, and I might share some more of them sometime.
Below is the picture of Daddy and Ole' Sam. I took it from different angles, so maybe you can see it good.
I don't know who all feels this way, but I love and miss Ole' Sam as though I had lived with him my whole life. And to me, I hope that he is a legend that will never be forgotten.
Enjoy!

God Bless!

Clo
